Mixing is a Process.

Mixing a song from start to finish is likely a one week project (varies per project) depending on the amount of editing and versions required. It is more important to get it right rather than rush, however, sometimes a rush order is required. One of the most important parts of mixing is the initial recording; make sure you have high quality recorded tracks with plenty of headroom (avoid distorted or peaking tracks) so I have good ingredients to mix with. Now…

  1. First, we’ll discuss your project and your goals with a free consultation

  2. Second, you will send me high quality stems which are individual music tracks, preferably 48hz and 24bit wav files

  3. Third, I’ll review and let you know if there are any issues in setting up your mixing session

  4. Fourth, I will mix a first draft

  5. Next, we’ll likely refine edits until you’re 100% satisfied with your mix

  6. Lastly, I will bounce a high quality stereo wav file for you to get mastered; I will also recommend a mastering service if you do not already have one
